Gender & Cultural Equality

I respect the cultural diversity that makes our human family colorful, complex and complete. I proudly support Black, Native/First Nations, and immigrant populations regardless of documentation status. As an ally of the LGBTQA2S+ community, I stand beside you as we work to create a more equitable society that embraces the contributions of all, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. Whether you are finding your place in the world of gender expression, cultural identity or both, you are welcome here and you matter!

Eventually, we each recognize that there are two fears we face:

One is the fear of calling yourself what you are not,

and the other is the fear of calling yourself that which you are.

In one, you hide;

in the other you stand tall.

In time, we understand that saying what we are

is no more frightening than saying that which we are not.

At least when we live our truth, we know who we are.

There is truth—and peace in it.

One must learn to be proud of who one is.
